Tackle Needed For Carp Fishing
To select the best tackle needed for carp fishing can be the most taxing task if the basic features of the gear are unknown. Tackle performance is dependant on the rod’s power and action to curve and lift. Affordability and suitability of the bait for the carp are also deciding factors in catching the best carps.
Two basic types of fishing tackles for carps are available. One is the rod and reel where the rod is affixed with a reel (having a handle) at its one end and a lengthy line running along the length of the rod through chord holes up to the other end. The reel’s handle needs to be rotated to get back the line. The pole is the other type of fishing tackle which is simple with the line fastened to end of the pole.
Points to be noted are:
• The tackle’s power to lift the carp shall be in direct proportion to the power of the line which means that the rod will break if it has a good lifting strength but the line is light and vice versa.
• Type of water where the carp live, can also be a contributing factor as in clear waters the lifting strength has to be low and turbid waters with heavy cover should have rods with high lifting power.
